Our patients at Brace Connection hate the thought of delaying their treatments and often ask us what they can do in between their adjustment visits to help. Today, Dr. Babaeian and our team thought we would provide some tips on how you can stay on track in regards to your treatment plan time.

The first thing we want you to do is keep your adjustment appointments. Each visit with Dr. Babaeian is carefully planned to move your teeth a specific way in a certain time frame. It’s important to note that missing an appointment can add weeks or months to your treatment time.

Next, we want you to let Dr. Babaeian and our team know right away if your experience any problems with your braces or appliances. A missing wire, rubber band, broken bracket, or lost/broken Invisalign aligners can delay treatment time, so we ask that you please give us a call right away to report any issues rather than waiting until your next visit.

Make sure you wear your rubber bands...

The community health awareness group Oral Health America has reported that 82 percent of adults are unaware of the role that infectious bacteria can play in tooth decay or cavities, and almost three out of five children aged 12 to 19 have tooth decay. Since June is National Smile Month, Dr. Babaeian and our team at Brace Connection thought we’d remind our patients about the importance of good oral hygiene visits between office visits.

To keep yours and your family’s smiles healthy and beautiful for years to come, be sure to:

·         Brush your teeth at least twice a day

·         Floss every day to clean between your teeth

·         Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet

·         Reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks

·         Follow through with your regular general dental and orthodontic visits!

On March 17, everyone has a little Irish in them. St. Patrick’s Day is a joyous celebration of Irish heritage. The holiday originated as a commemoration of Saint Patrick, who brought Christianity to Ireland. The saint arrived in Ireland in 432 and earned the reputation of a champion of Irish Christianity. March 17th, the day of St. Patrick’s death, has been commemorated by the Irish for over 1,000 years. St. Patrick’s Day is still observed as a religious feast day by several Christian denominations, but it is better known in the public imagination as a rich celebration of Irish culture.

St. Patrick’s Day has been an official public holiday in Ireland since 1903. Each year, the Irish celebrate with a several-day festival that includes theater performances, music, fireworks, and festive parades. The celebration is also a public holiday in Northern Ireland, Montserrat,...

MAKING THE FIRST DAY EASIER

Remind your child that there are probably a lot of students who are uneasy about the first day of school. This may be at any age. Teachers know that students are nervous and will make an extra effort to make sure everyone feels as comfortable as possible. Point out the positive aspects of starting school.  She'll see old friends and meet new ones. Refresh her positive memories about previous years, when she may have returned home after the first day with high spirits because she had a good time. Find another child in the neighborhood with whom your student can walk to school or ride on the bus. If it is a new school for your child, attend any available orientations and take an opportunity to tour the school before the...

At Brace Connection, we are pleased to offer state of the art technology to our patients–the iTero Scanner Outcome Simulator.  The Outcome Simulator in iTero Scanner creates a customized potential outcome that helps patients visualize the aesthetic, functional, and health benefits of straighter teeth with Invisalign.  The Simulator is a computer application that allows our patients to view their own virtual Invisalign treatment plan.  The Simulator’s unique dual view layout shows an image of your current dentition next to a simulated final position of how your teeth may look after Invisalign treatment.

Here’s how it works: We use the Itero digital scanner to take an 8-10 minute scan of your mouth. After the Itero scanner captures the digital, impression-free...
